The Oathbow is one of the holy Regalia, a blessed bow wielded by the elven crusader, Ulir. Late in Ulir’s life, the heroic warrior chose to ritualistically end her mortal life and take a seat among the gods. This elven ritual ended her existence in the physical world, but it brought great peace to her people for many centuries. In her last trance, she spoke six prophetic words: “In Ardennes, the war begins anew.”
Ulir departed the world of the living in a temple atop a forested mountain. No statue stands to venerate her, but the mighty Oathbow is enshrined on a wooden pedestal between two bowls of undying ashes. Her last prophecy is inscribed in all languages known to elves at the base of her temple.
Known as the Unerring Bow, the Oathbow is said to shoot bolts of pure moonlight. In life, Ulir swore vengeance against many foes, and it is said that her bow carries some of her own vengeful powers in its yew-fletched arms.
